If a student requires special test considerations through the Center for Access and Success, or if you wish to allow them to re-take a test you can use the Availability Exceptions tool to create assessment options that are unique to each student.
To create an availability exception follow these steps:
Click the drop-down menu for the assessment you would like to modify and select “Edit the Test Options”.
Scroll down to the “Test Availability Exceptions” section and select “Add User or Group”.
Check the box for each student or student group you would like to create an availability exception for and click “Submit”.
You can now change the number of attempts, the test timer, and the availability date/time window. Note: You cannot set a unique Due Date. The Due Date for the overall test will still be applied to any availability exceptions, including any availability restrictions tied to the Due Date.
When you are finished adding your availability exception details, click “Submit”.
